You could DEFINITELY recreate that yourself with a jigsaw and some chalkboard paint!

@Angie oh somehow I didn't even really notice the streamers in the background! I love them too, what a nice easy way to put in a bunch of color.
@GF you're totally right! We don't own a jigsaw but my dad probably does...I think this gets on the border of whether materials (plywood, chalkboard paint, glue) + time needed to develop skills to actually use jigsaw would be less than $29 + shipping. I've seen so much good usage of chalkboard paint in blogland that maybe if I've got another apartment project that needs it that'll tip over into definitely making it myself.
i just bought some chalkboard paint- that ish is SPENSIVE. probably not worth diy-ing, but super cute.
